Strolling Through South Melbourne Market

Only a stone’s throw from the city lies South Melbourne Market, a cornucopia of artisanal goods and organic produce. Lined with rows of specialty grocers, cafes, bakeries and gift shops, nothing could be more Melbourne than the exquisitely niche and beautifully crafted wares found in this bustling warren.

As a city of foodies, Melbournians pride themselves on the principles of diversity and quality. Glimmering seafood, wheels of cheese and baskets of fresh fruit and veg showcase the richness of our land, while pastries and smallgoods bring to life the melting-pot of culture here.

Our latest drop of cold-weather kit is designed to elevate the everyday Melbournian lifestyle. Luxurious fabrications cut in relaxed silhouettes, like our Anglesea Vest, allow for effortless layering, making them ideal for market adventures of your own.

Our venture was, of course, an opportunity to roadtest some of our newest arrivals, including our luxe suede Hargrave Jacket, cashmere Fitzgerald Bomber and coarse-knitted, wool Seaford sweater.

Experiencing this veritable sampler of the season’s offering was enhanced by our technical outerwear, which provided a shield from showers and wind tunnels; breathable enough to regulate the warmth of steamier stalls, and the sun as it rose.

The Anglesea Vest proved its exceptional versatility paired with shirting and under overcoats, while the new Fetherston and Lindsay cardigans added further layers of luxury and warmth to these looks from the new collection.

Rich colourways of chocolate and navy offset sand and olive, evoking the tones of the redbrick terrace houses and lush vines surrounding the market's alleys.
