Our Story

Christian Kimber is devoted to the ethical and considerate production of beautiful and enduring pieces that enrich the life of the wearer - clothes that are a companion for life, not just the season.

Our Story

The Australian Aesthetic

Our appreciation for the Australian lifestyle is considered in every aspect of the design process, with practicality and comfort as core tenets of the brand.

Our clothes are lovingly crafted by artisans in small, family-run manufacturers in Italy and Portugal, where utmost care is taken to preserve the tradition of producing beautiful and durable garments of the highest quality.

In employing a more refined and measured approach to production, we can enjoy beautifully designed and crafted garments for generations to come.We encourage our customers to learn about the process behind our design, and are proud of the practices we employ to produce garments that are crafted with care, with both their owner and the environment in mind.

Christian Kimber launched his eponymous brand in Melbourne in 2014, with a small, capsule collection of footwear and accessories. Developing a cult following early on amongst the menswear crowd in Australia and abroad, by 2016, Christian was able to extend the collection to include ready-to-wear.

Since, he has grown a global wholesale network and opened two brick and mortar stores, the first in Melbourne's creative hub, Fitzroy, and now a second store in leafy Armadale.

The brand’s vision is to make fine clothing more attainable to men and to meet the needs of the Australian lifestyle. Taking a ‘slow-fashion’ approach to retail, the design process is underpinned by the core pillars of functionality and durability, with a view to redefine the concept of contemporary Australian menswear.
